ISO6OO 2O23 Così è (se vi pare)

Con le parole di Pirandello va in scena la fotografia istantanea, 

l'inconoscibilità del reale, di cui ognuno può dare una propria interpretazione che può non coincidere con quella degli altri.

Si genera così un relativismo delle forme, delle convenzioni e dell'esteriorità, un'impossibilità di conoscere la verità assoluta che è ben rappresentata dall'idea stessa di fotografia istantanea.

Che la "bellezza" assoluta esista o meno è cosa tantomeno irrilevante: è questo il messaggio finale di lettura della mostra, dove il curatore mette lo spettatore di fronte ad una sorta di "barriera sul palcoscenico", costringendolo a interrogarsi sul significato stesso di ciò che ha appena visto e sull'assenza stessa di significato. 

Nona edizione di ISO600, teatrale e irriverente, si alzi il sipario ed entrino in scena gli autori, queste sono le loro storie narrate in fotografia. 

ISO600 torna, nella ormai familiare location della Galleria Fotografica Paoletti, come una rappresentazione teatrale dove va in scena la fotografia istantanea.

ISO6OO 2O23 So it is (if you like)

With the words of Pirandello, instant photography takes the stage,

the unknowability of reality, of which everyone can give their own interpretation which may not coincide with that of the others.

Thus a relativism of forms, conventions and exteriority is generated, an impossibility of knowing the absolute truth which is well represented by the very idea of instant photography.

Whether absolute "beauty" exists or not is irrelevant: this is the final message of reading the exhibition, where the curator puts the viewer in front of a sort of "barrier on the stage", forcing him to question the very meaning of this he has just seen and about the very absence of meaning.

Ninth edition of ISO600, theatrical and irreverent, the curtain rises and the authors enter the scene, these are their stories told in photography.

ISO600 returns, in the by now familiar location of the Paoletti Photographic Gallery, as a theatrical performance where instant photography is staged.
